In the jungle on the Apocalypse Now set
Departure at 8.30 am on board of an open truck.
Our first stop is the sugar cane fields, where we can enjoy a piece cut on the spot.
We visit a batey, a village where the workers of these plantations live.
We leave these places to visit a cigar factory and a small tobacco plantation.
We continue towards the city of Higuey to see the typical market.
Along the Chavon river we reach a restaurant where you can try the typical flavors of Dominican cuisine.
After lunch we travel along the banks of the Rio Chavon, using a raft. The vegetation around the river is jungle and was the film set for the film “Apocalypse Now“. The numerous lianas present allow us to make fun dives in an absolutely heavenly context.
